Part VI: Bye for now!

My last week with Jade and Cass

This week was my last with Jade and Cass. They have been taking care of me in Chiang Mai for 6 weeks and now I am feeling better it is time for me to go to 'Lucky Dogs' where I will  getting  ready to fly to the UK to finally meet my family!

In true Molly style I made sure I kept Jade and Cass on their toes for the last week, I continued to steal their clothes, chew on the wooden bed frame, take things out of the bin, nibble on Jade's earrings, chew the phone charger and hide under the bed when they were calling me, they don't call me mischievous Molly for nothing! I also ended up with a very bright cast on my back leg  2 weeks ago after one of my tendons had over stretched, I have not been a huge fan of the cast as it slows me down so I am quite glad to be getting it removed today!

Vets, Vets, Vets...

Jade and Cass got me back for my cheeyness by taking me to the vets again this week for my final health check before they leave. Even though I am not a huge fan of these visits, Jade and Cass always seem really pleased with the results and I always get a new chewy treat so we are all winners!

The results continued to show how my health was improving, I now no longer need to take my calcium supplements as my bones have calcified and I also no longer need to take my blood supplement, so less medication in my breakfast! That is something I am very happy about!

Part 2 of my journey begins now!

Now that I am healthy it is time for me to live with Nienke, Lucky and the rest of my friends at 'Lucky Dogs'. I will get to play with lots of other dogs, and Nienke is going to train me to be an obedient pup (Good luck)! I will be staying there for 5 months before I am ready to fly home!

The first month will be spent settling in and getting to know everybody. Then I will begin my vaccinations! More trips to the vets but it will all be worth it when I am playing with my family, running around my garden and going for long walks in England!
Thank you to everybody who has supported me by reading my blog, Jade and Cass will try to keep you all updated on my progress! I know I am one lucky Thai Pup and I am very excited about going to live in the UK, I have heard that there is a lot of grass and I LOVE grass!

Now before I finish Jade and Cass would like to add a few words (paragraphs more like):

Our experience with Molly!

"We have been looking after Molly for the last 6 weeks and we cannot believe how far she has come. When we compare her now to the first pictures we took in Pai it is hard to believe it is the same puppy! She is a very strong (and cheeky) little madam. One of the first things anyone notices about Molly is her tail, it doesn't stop wagging and was even in full swing when we met her suffering in Pai. She loves everybody and her positive attitude is truly admirable. We are very very sad to be saying goodbye but we are also very excited and happy for her, her journey has just begun and we know she will love living at 'Lucky Dogs'. We are also very excited about seeing her again next year when she is settled with her new family, seeing her with them is going to be one of the best moments for us and we are counting down the days!

We are very fortunate to have found Nienke and 'Lucky Dogs'. We were searching for a while for a kennels or shelter that could take Molly in when we had leave Thailand but we had no luck, until we came across Nienke. Having Molly stay at 'Lucky Dogs' is the best result we could have asked for, she will be trained, she will live in the house and she will be socialised with other lovely dogs. Nienke will also sort everything out for Molly so she can fly to the UK. Lucky Dogs have provided us with a peace of mind, as sad as leaving Molly will be, we are very grateful to be leaving her with Nienke. So we want to say a big Thank you to her for looking after Molly for the next 5 months!

We also want to thank Lace, Cass' sister, for helping us raise awareness and also offering to help us financially to get Molly home.  Without Lace, Molly wouldn't have a twitter page, she wouldn't have as much support and she wouldn't be going home to Nicky. Lace has shared and tweeted and posted pictures and information about Molly and it was one of her shares that caught her friend Nicky's eye. Thank you again Lace from us and Molly!

That brings me on to the next and biggest thank you to Molly's owner Nicky. Nicky immediately contacted Lace about Molly as soon as she saw her story and it didnt take long for her to offer to be Molly's mum! We honestly couldn't ask for a better family for Molly to be a part of, we know she is going to be so loved and spoilt, she is going to have such a happy life! Molly will have some issues with her pelvis and back legs, we don't know what the future holds, but this didn't phase Nicky at all, in fact it made her want Molly even more! Like us, Nicky is counting down the days until she gets her home, Molly is one very lucky little pup! We are really  looking forward to meeting Nicky and the rest of Molly's family next July! We really can't thank you enough Nicky, Molly can't wait to be with you!

Well now it is time to thank our little Molly. We love you lots and are very proud of how healthy you have become! You have inspired us and others to help more rescue dogs in Thailand! Thank you for making the last 6 weeks a very 'different' travelling experience for us and for filling our days with cheekyness and adventure! We will miss you so much and can't wait to see you and your wagging tail in the UK!  "

  1. It was such an honour to meet this little miracle last week. I'm so glad the world is filled with people like you and she was a pure joy; how wonderful to see her so happy.
